Throughout the year the Retreat Center staff conducts retreats to accommodate the needs of various groups. We offer retreats for men, for women, and for couples. You can also plan a retreat just for your parish group or
organization.
A Day of Recollection can be arranged for a variety of groups, as
well as for a parish or church organizations.
If you prefer, an Individual Directed Retreat is possible. An individual directed retreat includes a time of daily sharing and guidance by a Retreat Director to supplement your time of prayer and solitude. Many people simply come to the Retreat Center for a time away from the many demands, responsibilities, and noise of daily life . . . for a time of quiet and prayer from a single day to a week or more. Blue Cloud Abbey is situated on a hillside overlooking the vast prairie of the Whetstone Valley in the northeastern corner of South Dakota. It is home for more than twenty-five Benedictine monks. RETREAT FACILITIES Blue Cloud Retreat Center offers truly comfortable facilities. There are 21 rooms with double occupancy. In addition we have two large conference rooms and a resource room well stocked with books for spiritual reading as well as audio visual tapes that can provide food for meditation. At the Retreat Center we make everything as easy as possible, providing great meals, towels, bedding - everything you need. Just bring yourself and a desire to deepen your relationship with God.
