Benedictine Monks' lives are dedicated to prayer. As a Community and as individuals, the Monks offer their daily Mass and prayers for those in need and for those who request prayer for a special intention. The Benedictine Monks have been working with Native Americans in the
Dakotas since 1876. Blue Cloud Abbey was established in 1954 to better
provide for that need. The Abbey sponsors the American Indian Culture
Research Center, a retreat program, a mission in Guatemala, and a summer
camp. The monks also do parish work, spiritual counseling and farming. If
you wish to become a part of Blue Cloud's work in one or all of these
areas, you may support us by your prayers and financial contributions.
