NEW MUSEUM/ART ROOM

Work on the new museum/art room has progressed tremendously since work began in September 2005.  The next step is to move the display cases into the new room.  We hope to have a dedication around Memorial Day 2006.

DEDICATION OF THE NEW ART/PHOTO ROOM
On Saturday, May 27, 2006, the new room was dedicated to the work and memory of Fr. Stanislaus Maudlin.

PHOTO IDENTIFICATION

In March 2006 Colleen Cordell and Rebecca Durrenberger visited with the elders at Sisseton Wahpeton.  Many of the unknowns in the historic photographs being preserved at the American Indian Culture Research Center were identified and stories were shared..

EXHIBIT AT SISSETON - March 2006

On March 27, 2006 the first collaborative photo exhibit between AICRC and the Historical Preservation Office of Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate appeared in the log cabin next to the college.
