I have never heard anything but good about the Blue Cloud Abbey. (Ernie 12/27/03) God bless all of you. I like monastic and contemplative life. In a prayer. (Chile, René 12/26/03) Your site is beautiful. (Australia, Grace 12/16/03) Thank you and May God Bless You All. (Sylvestre 12/15/03) I am so happy to have some connection to my Benedictine Heritage. (Zelma 12/05/03) What a beautiful way of life! God bless! (Debbie 11/30/03) Thank you, I will return to ask after I have had the opportunity to enjoy your site. (Duffy 11/26/03) What a delight! I've been reading "A View from the Monastery" and just out of curiosity I thought I'd see if there was a website. And a comprehensive website to boot! The Abbey looks just gorgeous and I have to say, hopefully no offense, that I was a little worried when I was clicking on the pictures because everyone seemed around the same age and sporting well-grayed locks. I was very pleased to see some younger faces because I think it would be such a shame if that way of life ever died out. I've really been enjoying the book. Love the humor. Love the compassionate, curious and often lovingly written bits about different monks at the monastery. I think the monastic life is rather beautiful and the community aspect intrigues me....it can be difficult to find community these days. I wish you all well. (Carrie 11/17/03) I had gone to a monastery called Clear Creek in Oklahoma a few weeks ago and thought the chants in Latin were beautiful! I thought maybe I could also pray the Psalms and that is when I did a search on the internet and found this site. I have the time to pray the psalms and listen to a daily Mass before I head off to work at 5:45 am. So thank you for your site! It has made my prayer life richer! (Nancy11/7/03) Your site amazes me and I am pleased to know that you exist to pray for us in the ministry. (Fr Ian 11/03/03) I really enjoyed reading information from the Indian Center. (Michelle 10/15/03) Learned of your order through my uncle, Msgr. Fr. Kern. (Rose 10/15/03) Thank you Fathers and Brothers for your beautiful website. I have prayed each day with you in your praying with the monks. It has made me more effective as a volunteer with the Missionary Sisters of Charity at their hospice for men dying of Aids here in the Bay Area. (Steve 10/10/03) Great Fathers! Thank you for this opportunity. (Patti 3/18/03) Thank you for the opportunity to pray the liturgy of the hours and psalms on the web. (Jack 3/16/03) It is so nice to be able to "see" the pictures of the Abbey. It has changed in appearance so much since I was younger. Keep up the good work. (Mary 3/13/03) I have been informed of your beautiful abbey by friends, and I hope that God's presence is everywhere. (Joan 3/04/03) Thank you 4 all the information on this site. I personally am going through some deep soul searching, and some of the things I have learned here and other like-sites have taught me things I did not know, or was reconfirmed in something I believed in and also a great help to relieve my anxieties, stress and concerns for the future to come. Thank you. :) (Deanna 3/01/03) Learning about your community through Brother Benet's book was a real gift. As a married lay person I find a great deal about St. Benedict's Rule appealing and have incorporated the Divine Office into my own prayer life. May God continue to bless you all. (Tony 3/01/03) I grew up in Milbank and have been to the Abbey many times. It is wonderful to have a link to a place that holds so many happy memories. I will visit it often! God Bless. (Melissa 2/21/03) I simply enjoy coming to your site for the morning prayer. I have been meditating on the Psalms, entered it on Google and the Abbey came up. Monday was my first visit. I am trying to be more dedicated to making prayer a part of my morning ritual when I first get to the office. (David 2/20/03) I loved the site and I already have received a few news letters and love reading them. (Sharon 2/19/03) Beautiful and helpful site. I was looking for liturgy resources for Lent and found your collection of Canticles very helpful. Blessings and Peace for your community from snowy Boston. (Rev Cherlyn 2/18/03) Very interesting... (Kim 2/16/03) I have sent the Daily Prayer Schedule to my family and friends. They all say now is the time to go to war. I say now is the time to pray. Thank you for this wonderful website. :) (Patricia 2/07/03) Thanks for being there. (Ken 2/03/03) I corresponded with Fr. Javier in the mid 70's. He led me back to the Church. I've drifted away again, but I was cheered by finding your website. I think I would like to read Kathleen Norris' two books. (Betty 2/03/03) Recently went on a Cursillo weekend. This site was recommended as a guide for daily prayer. Thanks (Thomas 1/21/03) Got on your website thru my son. Please allow me to be with you in spirit; hearing about you was like a breath of fresh air - these are troubled times for Our Beloved Church in America - please continue your prayers and sacrifice. P.S. Remember me in your prayers. (Ray 1/21/03) I have just discovered your lovely page. Thank you. (Ann 1/14/03) Two and a half years ago I spent 3 days with you. It was at the time a grounding and quieting experience which I sorely needed. But, I have been surprised at how often over the past two years I have revisited Blue Cloud in my mind. I saw God in your faces and heard Him in the psalms. Thank you! Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Abba. (Liz 1/13/03) Thank you for the lovely prayer schedule. I discovered your website searching for advent prayers. I am so pleased to have a resource for year round, seasonally appropriate prayer guidance. I attend a Ukrainian Catholic Church, and so I was pleased with the familiarity in your extensive use of the psalms. It has greatly helped me in my efforts to pray daily and consistently. It also naturally offers wonderful opportunities for contemplation and real growth in my relationship with God. God bless you for this. (Mary 1/11/03) I recently had the pleasure of reading a work that mentioned your abbey. It is called Benedict's Way. What a welcome work in our contemporary world! (S 1/10/03) |
