Jerry Flute

Mr. Jerry Flute, Executive Director of the Association on American Indian Affairs, was recently featured in the magazine, EYES ON YOU, as one of the "Fifty People Making a Difference in South Dakota".

He was recognized for his national work with Native Americans, when the Editor said, "His work with the Association benefits many Native Americans throughout the United States". The Association is the oldest Native American Advocacy organization in the United States.

Mr. Flute is a former Chairperson of the Sisseton/Wahpeton Sioux Nation at Old Agency Village, SD 57262. He is the repatriation Officer for his Tribe. He is one of the "Notable Men of the Sioux Nation".

He and his wife, Wendy, reside near Lake Traverse, a border lake between South Dakota and Minnesota.
