FAMILY CONNECTIONS

Return to: Fr Stan's Notes

Young men/women are looking for their roots.  It's sad that the ties were broken.  It's now time to heal and to reconnect.  Yours will be, for the most part, an individual effort.

Two places are at your service:
1) National Archive - Kansas City, 2312 East Bannister Road, Kansas City, MO 64131   Phone (812) 926-6934.  Ask for the list of five areas of "Indian Records of the Northern Great Plains" in which you might begin.

2) Family History Center of the Church of the Latter Day Saints.  Ask at any Mormon Church.  They will open a computer link for you to Salt Lake City. Many thousands of names are on record.
If you have asked about sources for your research into your Family Genealogy and History, E-Mail me your Postal Address. I will mail you some directions and information prepared by the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs.
