| Charon Asotoyer, founder and executive director of
the Native American Women's Health Education Resource Center in Lake
Andes, SD, was honored March 15, 2001, by The Center for Women
Policy Studies in Washington, DC. The Wise Women Awards dinner was at the Capitol Hilton Hotel in Washington. Ms Asotoyer's Center, on the Yankton Reservation, is the first of its kind, ever, on a Reservation.
